VP, Division Manager Retail Lending
In December of 2019, Jonathan joined Cardinal Financial as VP Market Leader where he co-manages a top ranked branch in Irvine, CA, that yielded almost $280 million in its first 9 months. His vision for building a stronger retail lending unit and commitment to providing an elevated customer experience, led to the instituting of a division processing center within the Cardinal Financial umbrella to better serve his clients.
Jonathan’s innovative approach was rewarded with a swift promotion to VP, Division Manager Retail Lending after less than 6 months at Cardinal, advancing from managing a single branch to the direct recruitment and training of 11 division branches that have exceeded $1.1 billion in production during the first 9 months. He’s also implemented a 5-Star Customer Service training program and provides mentorship for new loan originators. As the driving force for the creation of a division-exclusive marketing department, his team now provides industry-specific, agency-level marketing offerings not traditionally seen in mortgage lending. These programs cover a wide range, from targeted social media and digital initiatives measured by demonstrable metrics and KPI’s, to the launch of a thoughtful, sophisticated and carefully considered funding gift program that closes the loop on the customer experience and tethers the customer to the company.
While his passion in mortgage is impressive, his passion for serving the mortgage lending community is also remarkable. He serves on the board of directors for the California Association of Mortgage Professionals and was invited to become a member of the High Trust Elite Coaching Program, where he coached and participated in the mentorship of fellow industry professionals and peers. In the program he leads discussions on Business Development, Recruiting, Market Share Growth, Cultivating High Performance Sales Teams, Elevating the Customer Experience and Business Strategy, to further the development of industry talent.
